How does a reefer container work?
The reefer container is designed to induce air distribution from the bottom, where it spreads cool air from the floor, via a specially designed T-shaped decking. This ensures a constant supply of air throughout the whole shipping.
A reefer container commonly comes with a built-in air cooling compressor with a common temperature setting ability between -25 to +25 degrees Celsius.
It usually consists of a fuel-powered and electric powered generator for both road and overseas transportations.
Reefer containers can maintain the temperature of your shipment, even in harsh conditions. Other than for cooling purposes, reefer containers can also control temperatures up to 30°C if necessary. However, it should be noted that reefer containers are not designed to change but to maintain the temperature of the goods.
Reefer containers are frequently used as temporary storage too for perishable foods, by restaurants, supermarkets, and hospitals.
