Shipping container to the rescue – from site offices to isolation wards
Repurposed shipping containers have become more prevalent over the years and especially during the outbreak of COVID-19. The dramatic number of cases led to the urgent need for isolation wards and makeshift dormitories as well as temporary on-site working spaces for officials and medical staff to combat the situation.
Shipping containers were the perfect solution as they can be transported and set up quickly. As COVID-19 cases dwindle, the facility can be dismantled and removed quickly without much hassle.
