What are the dimensions of the shipping container?

Container dimensions vary based on type. For standard shipping containers, common sizes include 20ft (6.06m) and 40ft (12.2m) in length, 8ft (2.44m) in width, and 8.5ft (2.59m) in height. High cube containers, like the 40ft high cube, have the same length and width but offer an increased height of 9.5ft (2.89m).

What is the container's maximum weight capacity?

Weight capacity depends on the container type; typical payloads range from 20 to 30 tonnes.

Is the container new or used?

We offer both new and used containers for sale. Please check with our sales team for availability of stocks.

What is the difference between new and used containers?

New containers are unused or have only been used for one trip. They offer pristine condition and longer lifespans. Used containers, though thoroughly inspected, may have minor wear and tear from previous use. The choice depends on your budget and intended usage.

Are the containers considered cargo-worthy (CW) for shipping?

Yes, you can be assured that these containers (regardless of new or used) are of CW condition, used for international shipping purposes.

How long can the containers last?

The lifespan of a container depends on factors like usage, maintenance, and climate. Typically, a standard shipping container serves its shipping purpose effectively for about 10 to 15 years before being retired. It’s noteworthy that the container’s CSC plate (Container Safety Convention plate) necessitates renewal every 5 years to uphold safety standards.

Once retired, a shipping container can be recycled through melting down or repurposed into innovative structures like shipping container homes or portable offices using container modification techniques. With proper maintenance, containers that have been repurposed can enjoy extended lifespans, contributing to sustainable and creative solutions for diverse applications.

Can your containers be rented or hired?

No, they are only available for purchase.

What is a CSC survey, and why is it important?

A CSC (Container Safety Convention) survey is an inspection conducted to ensure that a shipping container meets safety standards for international transportation. The survey includes structural integrity, safety features, and proper functioning of doors and fittings. CSC certification indicates that the container is suitable for shipping and provides assurance of its safety during transit.

If you need the CSC survey and certification for your container purchase, please contact our sales team for further information.

What is a CW (Cargo-Worthy) report?

A Cargo-Worthy (CW) report, also known as a Cargo-Worthy Certificate, is issued after a container passes a thorough inspection confirming its fitness for international cargo transport. It certifies that the container meets the necessary standards for safe shipping and is in good condition to protect goods during transit. This report is essential for using containers in global trade.

If you need the CW report for your container purchase, please contact our sales team for further information.

What is the cost of the container?

Container prices vary based on type, size, condition, and location. For instance, a used 20ft GP container generally ranges from USD$1,500 to USD$1,800, while a used 40ft GP container typically falls between USD$1,500 and USD$2,500. It’s important to note that the prices provided are subject to availability of stock and market price movements. Kindly contact us for a personalized quote.

Are there additional fees besides the container cost?
